Saved by LightningIt had been an exhausting day spent entirely at the university library, but I somehow had managed to make the drive over the Pali Highway and home without falling asleep and killing myself. As I arrived in Kailua town it began to sprinkle. When I turned onto Oneawa St. it was drizzling. By the time I was parked in my driveway the wind and the rain were howling like a Japan Airlines 747 departing for Tokyo. No one was home which I was glad for. I didn't need my roommates blasting music tonight. The entire house was dark and quiet with the exception of rain pounding the roof. I drank a Starbucks espresso shot in the kitchen then went upstSaved by Lightning

My Last NightmareThe demons came and stabbed me with spears The crowd around me attacked me with jeers I was pushed out and rejected by those who love me I was beaten and tortured with no chance to flea They deprived me of any food or drink They deprived me of silence until I could not think I was made promises but betrayed I was a toy with whom evil played Tired and wasted, I could take no more My entire life I did ever abhor I was tossed aside into a forgotten pile But it all went away when I awoke to your smileMy Last Nightmare

NighthawkDark and silent stood the night A veil to keep us out of sight A ceiling to mask us during our flightNighthawk
The air was calm, cool and dry Nobody watched as we rolled by Nobody saw us take to the sky
We flew ahead, low and fast The sky seemed still as we flew past Towards our enemy's armies amassed
We struck
Then we returned back to our nest A place of warmth, refuge and rest Relieved to see that we had all been blessed
